Citrine Ring on Metal Stand Specimen - 19.5 inch
Product Description
The Citrine Ring Specimen is a large polished geode "ring" of golden Citrine, cut and hollowed so the crystalline interior frames an open centre, mounted on a black metal stand for display. The outer edge is smooth and polished while the inner mouth is lined with pale honey-gold crystals, and at over sixteen inches on its stand it makes a genuine statement centrepiece.
Citrine is traditionally known as the merchant's stone, associated with abundance, success and vital energy, and long carried as a prosperity talisman. A large ring specimen like this is chosen as a focal display for a home, studio or workspace, valued both for its warm golden colour and for its association with manifestation and drive.
As a natural geode formation, the colour, the crystal lining and the exact shape of the ring are unique to this piece, so no two are alike.

Geological Information
Citrine is the yellow-to-orange-brown variety of quartz, a silicon dioxide crystallising in the trigonal system at a Mohs hardness of 7. Natural Citrine is relatively rare and typically pale yellow to honey; the majority of commercial Citrine, including large geode formations like this, is heat-treated Amethyst or smoky quartz, where temperatures above roughly 470°C shift purple or grey tones to yellow and orange. This is a standard, universally accepted industry practice, and deep amber to orange-brown tones almost always indicate heated material. Its name comes from the French citron, meaning lemon, and it has been known across European and Asian trading traditions as the merchant's stone, carried for centuries as an abundance talisman. This material is sourced from Brazil, a primary Citrine source alongside Uruguay and Madagascar.
