Green Mica Specimen - 1.0-2.5 inch
Product Description
The Fuchsite Specimen is a natural piece of chrome-green mica, its surface broken into fine, flaky layers that catch the light with the silvery sparkle the mica family is known for. The green ranges from soft sage to a richer emerald, and the layered, micaceous texture gives each piece a glittering, almost metallic shimmer when turned. These are natural specimens shown in their raw form.
Fuchsite is traditionally associated with the heart, with compassion and with gentle emotional balance, and is often described as a renewing, uplifting stone. People keep a specimen like this in a personal space, on a shelf or beside a workspace, where the green sparkle can be enjoyed. As a raw mineral piece it appeals equally to collectors drawn to its distinctive flaky structure.
As a natural stone, each Fuchsite Specimen differs in its green tone, sparkle and shape, so the piece you receive will be its own.

Geological Information
Fuchsite is the chromium-bearing variety of muscovite mica, a potassium aluminium chromium silicate of the mica family, crystallising in the monoclinic system at a very soft Mohs hardness of 2 to 3. Its green to emerald-green colour comes from chromium, while the characteristic silvery sparkle is produced by the perfect cleavage of the mica structure into thin, reflective sheets. It is frequently found in association with ruby, the popular combination known as Ruby Fuchsite, and is named after the German mineralogist Johann Nepomuk von Fuchs. This material is sourced from Brazil, with further deposits in India, Russia, Zimbabwe and Austria.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
Care Note
Fuchsite is very soft at Mohs 2 to 3, and its flaky mica layers scratch, flake and dent easily. Handle it gently, avoid rubbing or pressing the surface, and store it on its own away from harder stones.
