Stilbite is a zeolite mineral, a sodium calcium aluminium silicate that crystallises in the monoclinic system at a soft Mohs hardness of 3.5 to 4. It forms in the cavities of basaltic rock, and its defining habit is the distinctive bow-tie or sheaf-shaped crystal aggregate seen here, occurring in white, peach, pink and yellow.
