Spooky Tree Backflow Burner - 3.5 inches
Product Description
The Spooky Tree Backflow Burner is a compact upright piece cast in polyresin, moulded as a gnarled tree trunk with a face worked into the bark in the old green man tradition. Twisted wood grain, deep-set eyes, and a heavy brow are rendered in fine relief and finished in warm browns with darker tones pushed into the grooves to give the face its depth. The cone well sits at the crown and the open mouth acts as the smoke channel - a lit backflow cone sends smoke down through the hollow trunk and out between the lips in a slow, thick fall, producing the signature back flow cascade that pools around the base. The backflow cone shown in the photograph is for demonstration only and is not included with this listing.
The green man is one of the oldest recurring motifs in European folk tradition - a face emerging from or merging with foliage and bark, read variously as a symbol of nature, seasonal renewal, and the wildness at the edge of cultivated spaces. This piece leans into the more unsettling end of that tradition, with its heavy brow and deep-shadowed finish giving it a character that suits a seasonal display or a dedicated altar shelf as readily as an everyday incense spot.

Each piece is selected for its quality, functionality, and finish. Where a product includes coatings, treatments, or material enhancements, this is clearly disclosed within the product information. Every product is inspected to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding. Incense burns down from the tip, dropping hot ash and embers as it goes - place it in a stable, heat-resistant holder away from drafts and flammable materials, and out of reach of children and pets. Never leave burning incense unattended.
