Staurolite/Chiastolite Tumbled Stone - 15-30 mm
Product Description
These Staurolite Chiastolite Tumbled Stones combine two natural cross-forming minerals, polished into smooth rounded pieces in brown to grey-brown tones with darker markings. Many pieces show a visible cross or cross-like figure where the natural patterning surfaces, which is the feature both minerals are collected for. The compact palm size suits personal carry, decorative arrangements, or mineral collections focused on naturally symbolic formations.
Staurolite and Chiastolite are both traditionally associated with protection and a grounded sense of inner structure, and are commonly carried as steadying, protective stones. People keep a piece in a pocket or bag, hold one during meditation, or place it in a space they want to feel secure. The natural cross has long made these stones popular as protective tokens and meaningful gifts.
Each stone is natural, so the strength and clarity of the cross figure and the surrounding colour will differ from one piece to the next.

Geological Information
This material combines two natural cross-forming minerals, both nesosilicate-class with a Mohs hardness of about 7 to 7.5. Staurolite forms cross-shaped penetration twins where crystals intersect at 60 or 90 degrees, producing a natural cross without any cutting; its name comes from the Greek stauros, meaning cross. Chiastolite is a variety of andalusite in which carbon inclusions are pushed to the edges of the growing crystal, creating a dark cross pattern seen in cross-section. Both carry long protective traditions: Staurolite is known in Appalachian folklore as Fairy Cross, and Chiastolite was carried by Christian pilgrims along the Camino de Santiago, where surface stones could be gathered along the route. This is natural, untreated material, sourced from localities including Spain, Brazil, France, Russia and the USA.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
