Stromatolite Tumbled Stone - 20-40 mm
Product Description
These Stromatolite Tumbled Stones are polished into smooth, rounded forms in brown, tan, and grey, showing the visible laminated layering of ancient fossilised microbial mats. Tumbling brings out the fine banded structure while keeping a solid, tactile feel in the hand. The layered patterning differs in every piece.
Stromatolite is traditionally associated with Transformation and Growth, its ancient fossil origin reflecting deep time and long cycles. It is commonly kept for Balance and Harmony, its Root connection supporting patience, stability, and grounding.
Because this is a natural fossil material, the layering pattern and the exact size vary from stone to stone, so the piece you receive will be uniquely its own.

Geological Information
Stromatolites are layered sedimentary structures formed by communities of cyanobacteria, or blue-green algae, that trapped and bound sediment in shallow water over billions of years, preserved here in a carbonate matrix with a Mohs hardness of 3 to 4. The oldest known fossils are stromatolites approximately 3.5 billion years old from the Pilbara region of Western Australia, and the cyanobacteria responsible for them are credited with producing the oxygen that transformed Earth's early atmosphere, which makes stromatolites arguably among the most significant organisms in the history of life on Earth. Living stromatolites still exist in Shark Bay, Western Australia. Principal sources include Australia, Canada, and the United States.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
Care Note
Stromatolite in carbonate matrix is soft at Mohs 3 to 4 and acid-sensitive. Keep it dry, wipe with a soft dry cloth only, and store it away from harder stones to prevent scratching.
