The Wonderland Tarot in a Tin

The Wonderland Tarot in a Tin is a full 78-card deck casting the characters of Lewis Carroll's Alice books into the traditional tarot roles, with the Mad Hatter as the Fool, Alice as the High Priestess, Humpty Dumpty as the Sun, and the White Rabbit as Judgement. Morgana Abbey's hand-drawn artwork pays homage to the Victorian style of Sir John Tenniel, who illustrated the first edition of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The deck and its 56-page booklet pack into a tin.

The minor arcana suits are recast as flamingos for Swords, peppermills for Staves, hats for Cups, and oysters for Coins, and playing card suit marks are included on the minor arcana as a nod to the Queen of Hearts. That addition makes the deck usable for ordinary card games as well as readings, which is unusual and in keeping with the spirit of the books. The familiar characters give an accessible route into the card meanings for anyone who knows the stories.
