Product Description
These Ruby Tumbled Chips are small, polished irregular pieces in red, drawn from natural corundum. Ruby is traditionally associated with Confidence and Ambition, long carried as a talisman of warriors and kings. It is commonly kept for Energy and Vitality and used as a warming focal point for drive and vigour.

Geological Information
Ruby is the red variety of corundum, aluminium oxide, with a Mohs hardness of 9 and a trigonal crystal system, making it the second hardest natural mineral after diamond; only chromium-bearing red corundum is a ruby, with the red colour coming from chromium impurities. Heat treatment is near-universal in commercial rubies, as heating improves clarity and colour and is an accepted industry standard, while lead-glass filling is used in low-grade material and synthetic ruby has been produced since the early 20th century; all of these must be disclosed, and disclosure of treatment level matters for value. Ruby is one of the four classical precious gemstones, used in ancient Burma, India, Thailand, and China as a talisman of warriors and kings. Principal sources include Myanmar, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Mozambique, and Madagascar.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
