Product Description

Tree Agate and Green Moss Agate Tumbled Stones bring together two closely related chalcedonies: opaque white Tree Agate with branching green inclusions, and translucent-to-milky Moss Agate carrying green moss-like patterns. Polished smooth, the green threads and patches stand out against the pale bodies, and the mix gives a natural, foliage-like character across the assortment. At this size each stone is comfortable to hold and shows its inclusions clearly.

Both Tree Agate and Moss Agate are traditionally linked with growth, abundance and connection to the natural world, and are often chosen by gardeners, makers and anyone marking new beginnings. They are commonly carried, placed near plants or workspaces, or held while setting intentions. The green-and-white patterning also makes them gentle, organic display stones.

Because every inclusion pattern forms naturally, each stone in this assortment is one of a kind.

Geological Information
Tree Agate and Moss Agate are both chalcedony varieties of the quartz family, silicon dioxide of the trigonal system at a Mohs hardness of 7. Tree Agate has an opaque white body with green dendritic inclusions of chlorite or celadonite, giving a strong resemblance to a branch or tree silhouette, and is sometimes sold as White Moss Agate. Moss Agate has a translucent-to-milky base with green, and occasionally red or black, moss-like inclusions of chlorite or hornblende. In both stones the inclusions are mineral matter rather than actual moss or plant material, a common point of confusion worth addressing. The two are frequently mistaken for one another, distinguished mainly by Tree Agate's opacity. Both have long been used across Native American, Indian and European agricultural traditions as stones of growth and harvest. This material is sourced primarily from India, with further deposits in Brazil and the USA.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
