Green Aventurine Tumbled Stone - 20-35 mm
Product Description
This Green Aventurine Tumbled Stone is a polished quartz piece in soft to deep green, with the characteristic sparkle (aventurescence) created by fine mica throughout the stone. The colour ranges from pale sage to richer forest green, and the glitter catches the light as the piece moves. Smooth and rounded, the Green Aventurine sits comfortably in the palm.
Green Aventurine is traditionally regarded as a stone of abundance and good fortune, often called a stone of opportunity, balanced by a calm, harmonising character. Many people carry it for luck, keep it in a workspace, or place it in a grid for new ventures, and it is a frequent gift for fresh starts. Its heart-area associations give the Green Aventurine a gentle, optimistic reputation.
Each Green Aventurine is natural and one of a kind, varying in colour depth, sparkle, and pattern from stone to stone.

Geological Information
Green Aventurine is a quartz, silicon dioxide, with a Mohs hardness of 7 and a trigonal structure. Its green colour and metallic glittering effect, called aventurescence, are caused by light reflecting off flat parallel fuchsite mica platelets within the quartz. The name comes from the Italian a ventura, meaning by chance, a reference to the accidental discovery of aventurine glass. Green Aventurine is often confused with jade but is distinguishable by its characteristic sparkle and belongs to the quartz family, not jade. It was used extensively in ancient Chinese and Tibetan carving traditions. Sources include Brazil, India, Russia, Tanzania, and China.
