Product Description

White Howlite tumbled stones are smooth, rounded pieces in chalky white, marbled with fine grey veining, polished to a soft finish and sold individually or by weight. The pattern of veining varies from stone to stone, giving each piece its own marbled character. The calm, neutral look suits pocket carry, display, and gentle, soothing layouts.

Howlite is traditionally associated with calm, quiet, and restful sleep, and is a popular stone for easing a busy mind. It is commonly kept by the bedside or carried for a soothing presence, used to support a calmer headspace, or added to grids focused on peace and rest. As a tumbled stone, Howlite is easy to hold, pocket, or set out where a calming presence is wanted.

Because this is a natural material, the veining, body colour, size, and weight vary from stone to stone, so the piece you receive will differ from the photographs.

Geological Information
Howlite is a calcium borosilicate (a borate mineral) with a low Mohs hardness of 3.5, forming as nodules with a characteristic chalky white body and grey veining. This is natural, undyed white Howlite; because it is porous and takes dye readily, Howlite is very commonly dyed blue and sold as imitation turquoise, which is a misrepresentation that should always be disclosed, so genuine white material is described here as natural and untreated. It was named after the Canadian chemist Henry How, who first described it. The primary source is the United States, with further material from Canada.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.

Care Note
Howlite is soft (Mohs 3.5) and porous, so it scratches and marks easily. Handle it gently, keep it away from harsh chemicals, and store it apart from harder stones.
