Black Moonstone Tumbled Stone - 15-30 mm
Product Description
This Black Moonstone Tumbled Stone is a polished feldspar piece in black to dark grey, lit by a pale blue or white sheen that floats across the surface as the stone moves. The dark body makes the adularescent flash stand out, shifting with the angle of the light. Smooth and rounded, the Black Moonstone has a quiet, moonlit character in the hand.
Black Moonstone is traditionally associated with grounding, protection, and intuition, often used for new beginnings and inner reflection. People commonly keep it by the bedside, carry it as a steadying pocket piece, or hold it in meditation. The darker body colour gives it a stronger grounding reputation than the cream and white varieties, while keeping moonstone's lunar, intuitive character.
Each Black Moonstone is natural and individual, with its body colour, sheen, and flash varying from piece to piece.

Geological Information
Black Moonstone is an orthoclase feldspar, a potassium aluminium silicate, with a Mohs hardness of 6 to 6.5 and a monoclinic structure. Its black to dark grey body carries a pale blue or white adularescent glow, produced by light scattering between alternating lamellar layers of orthoclase and albite, the same optical mechanism found in cream and white moonstone. The dark body colour distinguishes it visually but the underlying structure is identical, and the dark tone has given it a stronger grounding and protective association in modern practice. India produces the majority of commercial material, with additional supply from Madagascar.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
