Seftonite Tumbled Stone - 18-33 mm
Product Description
These Seftonite Tumbled Stones are smooth, rounded pieces in deep green flecked with vivid red spotting. Tumbling rounds the edges while keeping the rich colour and mottling clearly visible. Each stone is an individual piece with its own pattern.
Seftonite, also known as African Bloodstone, is traditionally associated with protection, grounding, and steady vitality, and it is a popular strengthening carry stone. In tumbled form it suits a pocket, a grid, or an earthy display.
These are natural stones, so colour, spotting, size, and shape vary from piece to piece, and the stones you receive will differ from those photographed.

Geological Information
Seftonite is the trade name for African Bloodstone, a chalcedony variety of the Quartz family, silicon dioxide with chlorite inclusions, at a Mohs hardness of 7 and a trigonal system. It shows deep green with vivid red spotting and is distinct from classic Indian Bloodstone (Heliotrope), with the South African material typically greener and more vividly spotted; its data is drawn from the African Bloodstone entry. It is a natural, untreated material. Origins: South Africa is the primary commercial source.
