Dendritic Agate Worry Stone - 1.5 inch
Product Description
Dendritic Agate Worry Stone cut to an oval with a thumb hollow across one face. The base is a translucent cream to warm tan, and branching through it are fine black and brown structures that fan outward like winter trees or frost on a window, dense at one edge and thinning to isolated threads at the other. The polish is high and the branches are visibly inside the stone rather than marked on its surface.
Dendritic Agate was used in ancient Greek and Roman practice as an agricultural talisman, and it retains an association with growth and with things that develop gradually. It is commonly kept by people working on something slow rather than immediate, held while planning, or given at the beginning of a project. The branching pattern is the whole appeal and no two pieces carry it the same way.

Geological Information
Dendritic Agate is a chalcedony variety of the quartz family, silicon dioxide crystallising in the trigonal system at Mohs 7. Its defining feature is the branching tree or fern-like inclusions called dendrites, formed by manganese or iron oxide crystals growing through fractures in the silica during formation. Those dendrites are frequently mistaken for fossilised plants, and they are not: they are inorganic mineral formations that happen to grow in the same branching geometry living things do, because both follow the same physics of expansion into available space. When the base is opaque white the material is sometimes sold as Tree Agate. No treatment or dye is involved. It was used across ancient Greek and Roman traditions as an agricultural talisman. Commercial material comes from India, Brazil, the USA, Kazakhstan and China.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
