Moss Agate Worry Stone - 1.5-1.75 inch
Product Description
Moss Agate Worry Stone cut to a rounded oval with a thumb hollow across one face. The base is a translucent milky white to pale grey, and running through it are dark green dendritic inclusions that branch and spread like vegetation caught in ice, denser at one end of most pieces than the other. Held to a light the base goes noticeably translucent and the green structures stand out as silhouettes, which is the best way to see how deep into the stone they actually run.
Moss Agate has a long association with growth and with agricultural abundance, and it is one of the few stones whose traditional use is documented across Native American, Indian and European farming cultures alike. It is commonly kept by people working on something slow and cumulative rather than immediate, held during planning, or given at the start of a project. The inclusions make each piece visibly individual in a way that suits it as a gift.

Geological Information
Moss Agate is a chalcedony variety within the quartz family, silicon dioxide crystallising in the trigonal system at Mohs 7. Its translucent to milky white base carries green, red or black moss-like inclusions formed by chlorite, hornblende or manganese growing through the silica matrix as it set. Those inclusions are mineral, not organic: despite the name and the appearance there is no moss or plant material in the stone, and the branching structures are purely crystalline growth. Moss Agate is one of the documented exceptions to the general coloured-agate dye practice, its colouring being genuinely natural rather than enhanced. It has been used across Native American, Indian and European agricultural traditions as a stone of growth and harvest. Commercial material is sourced from India, Brazil, the USA, Central Europe and Uruguay.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
