Blue Aventurine Worry Stone - 1.5-1.75 inch

A smooth blue thumb-stone for calm, focused meditation
$10.95

Product Description

Blue Aventurine Worry Stone cut to an oval with a thumb hollow across one face. The colour is a deep slate blue-grey, dark enough that the blue only declares itself properly in good light, and turned toward a direct source the surface carries a fine scattered shimmer from platelet inclusions suspended inside the quartz. Tone and shimmer both vary from piece to piece, some stones reading distinctly blue and others closer to charcoal until the light finds them.

Blue Aventurine is traditionally associated with calm and with speaking clearly under pressure, a different register from the green variety's fortune associations despite the shared mineral family. It is commonly carried, held before a difficult conversation, or kept within reach on a desk. The shimmer here is subtler than in green aventurine and rewards holding the stone up to a lamp rather than glancing at it in a drawer.

Geological Information
Blue Aventurine is a quartz, silicon dioxide crystallising in the trigonal system at Mohs 7, containing inclusions of dumortierite, a blue borosilicate mineral. Those inclusions do double work: their colour gives the stone its blue, and their flat platelet form produces the aventurescence, the metallic glittering effect shared across every aventurine variety. The combination of blue body colour and shimmer is what separates it from Blue Calcite and Blue Chalcedony, both of which are blue but neither of which sparkles, and it is the practical way to identify the material. Colour runs from a clear mid-blue through to a deep grey-blue depending on how densely the dumortierite is distributed, with darker material carrying more inclusion content rather than less. No treatment or dye is involved. The stone shares the broader aventurine tradition of Chinese and Tibetan carving, with the blue variant carrying calming and communicative associations in modern practice. India is the primary commercial source, with further material from Chile.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
