Red Jasper Worry Stone - 1.5 inch
Product Description
Red Jasper Worry Stone cut to an oval with a thumb hollow across one face. The colour is a deep opaque brick red, even across the surface with only slight variation in depth and the occasional darker zone where the iron content ran heavier. The polish is high and the stone is entirely opaque, letting no light through at any thickness, which sets it apart from most quartz-family material at this size.
Red Jasper is among the most consistently documented stones in the ancient world, used in Egypt, Mesopotamia and across Europe as a seal stone and protective amulet, and named as one of the twelve stones of the Hebrew High Priest's breastplate. It is traditionally carried for stamina and steadiness rather than for anything quick, and suits daily handling. The flat even colour makes it an unobtrusive piece to keep out on a desk.

Geological Information
Red Jasper is a chalcedony variety of the quartz family, silicon dioxide at Mohs 7, and it is one of the most widely distributed and historically used of all the jaspers. Its red comes from hematite, iron oxide, distributed finely enough through the silica matrix to colour the whole stone rather than appearing as visible inclusions, which is what produces the even opaque red rather than a patterned one. No treatment or dye is involved. The stone was worked in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia and across Europe as both a seal stone and a protective amulet, and it is named among the twelve stones of the Hebrew High Priest's breastplate, giving it an unusually continuous documentary record. Commercial material comes from Brazil, India, Russia and the USA.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
