Zebra Jasper Worry Stone - 2 inch
Product Description
Zebra Jasper Worry Stone cut to a generous flattened oval with a wide, shallow thumb hollow. The pattern is the whole point of the material: irregular black and charcoal veining running across a white to pale grey ground, closer to marbling than to the parallel striping the name suggests, with the pattern falling differently on every piece. The polish is high and the surface is smooth without being slick, and the stone sits flat and stable when set down.
Zebra Jasper is traditionally used for steadiness, and it tends to appeal to people who want something visually plain enough to keep on a desk in a shared office. It is commonly worked between thumb and fingers during a call or a difficult conversation, which is the everyday use of a worry stone rather than a formal practice. The generous size suits that, since there is enough surface to move a thumb across properly.

Geological Information
Zebra Jasper, also traded as Zebra Stone, is a banded and mottled black-and-white material that is often genuinely calcite or dolomite rather than true jasper, which matters because the two have very different hardness. Material sold under the Zebra name is variably calcite or dolomite with some silica content, Mohs 3 to 5, and the black and white contrast comes from manganese oxide or carbon distributed through the calcium carbonate matrix. A true silica-based Zebra Jasper does exist and is considerably harder; the hardness test is what separates them, and a great deal of what reaches the market under the name is the softer carbonate material. The bold graphic pattern is the primary commercial appeal and there is no strong distinct ancient tradition behind the name, which is a modern commercial designation. Commercial material comes chiefly from India and from Africa.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding. Zebra Jasper is sensitive to acids and can be damaged by contact with household cleaning products or skincare products.
